Upon assuming the presidency, Biden set a goal of 100 million Covid vaccination doses being administered in his first 100 days in office.
This goal has already been met.
As of Wednesday, 130 million doses have been administered, according to The White House. Currently, 85 million people have received their first vaccination, and some 45 million people have received both vaccinations.
In late January, Biden had wanted to deliver 150 million doses in his first 100 days. However, that number was later reduced to 100 million doses.
Experts note that the new goal of 200 million doses can be reached if the current vaccination rate is continued.
