KOTA BARU: The Kelantan police's Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department is seeking to beef-up its manpower with additional personnel at four police stations along the border areas to ramp up enforcement on drug trafficking and other related operations.

State police chief Datuk Shafien Mamat said at the moment, the number of personnel at these four police stations as well as other stations in the state was insufficient to tackle the existing heavy workload.
