NASA Hubble just shared a magical image of a nebula NGC 5307 thats located 10,000 light-years away from Earth and has a diameter of approximately 0.6 light-years. The image was shared on NASAs official Instagram account and has received over 73,000 likes so far.Watch: NASA Hubble Shares A Twinkling Video Of A Faraway Galaxy GN-z11!Nebula NGC 5307 resides in the constellation Centaurus and the image captured by the Hubble Space telescope shows off the nebulas spiral-shaped structure. Check it out:Nebula is a giant cloud of dust and gas (mostly hydrogen and helium) in space. NASA explains that while some nebulae come from the gas and dust produced by the explosion of a dying star, such as a supernova, other nebulae are regions where new stars start to form. The closest known nebula to Earth is called the Helix Nebula.Talking about nebula NGC 5307, every gas ejected from the central star comes with a counterpart on the opposite side of the star. Nebula NGC 5307 was discovered by English astronomer John Herschel back in April 1836. Apart from NGC 5307, NASA Hubble has captured many other nebulae in space and has also shared breathtaking images of these discoveries on its social media pages. Some of the other nebulae captured by Hubble include nebula ESO 455-10 located in the constellation Scorpius and Emission Nebula NGC 2313 located 3,756 light-years away in the constellation of Monoceros, among others.SEE ALSO: NASA Reveals A Stunning New Version Of Hubble Telescope Image Of The Veil Nebula!Apart from nebulae, Hubble captures many other cosmic wonders in our universe.
