What's more, retinol can also induce symptoms of dry eye when placed too close to the eye itself, which Tanya Gill, OD, an optometrist at Oakland Vision Center Optometry in Oakland, California, previously noted. (Another important tip: Always wear sunscreen with at least SPF 30 the morning after.)
Why not both? Consider using vitamin C during the day and retinol in the evening.
