For those who think you're too old to find a boyfriend or girlfriend, let this story restore your faith in love. 

According to a recent news report, a 102-year-old man has just successfully wooed an 85-year-old fellow resident at an old folks home in Wuhan, China.

The couple met at the old folks home and admired each other for their artistic talents. The elderly man, known as Grandpa Jiang, is said to be very artistically gifted. He does calligraphy, draws and also plays the gourd flute. Meanwhile, his new sweetheart Granny Zhang is great with arts and crafts.

After realising that their personalities were a good fit too, Grandpa Jiang then confessed his feelings to Granny Zhang and the two made it official.

A staff member also said that while Grandpa Jiang has always been fit despite his age, his health apparently became even better after meeting Granny Zhang.

However, the elderly couple was initially worried that their respective kids would be against their budding romance. 

After telling them the news, they were pleased to find out that their children are surprisingly supportive.

Granny Zhang's son even assured: "As long as the elderly are happy, everyone would be happy."

Now, the couple is very comfortable with spending time together in the old folks home.

Grandpa Jiang would play the gourd flute while Granny Zhang happily sings along. She would also help Grandpa Jiang tidy his belongings while he does calligraphy on her artworks. 

The couple has been so lovey-dovey that other old folks in the home are said to be very envious of them for being able to find love again at this age too.

Netizens were absolutely touched by Grandpa Jiang and Granny Zhang's love story as well.

"Getting together when they're old means they can rely on each other spiritually," gushed one such netizen.

Another mused: "The smiles on both of their faces are more effective than any medication in the world."

Sometimes love just happens so unexpectedly, doesn't it?
