Chong Boon Market & Food Centre is a popular spot atAng Mo Kio Avenue 10 where you can expect to find a plethora of delicioushawker fare during breakfast and lunch. Many stalls are done for the day by mid-afternoon, hence the market tends to be quieter in the evenings.

This hawker centre holds a special place in my heart. I spent my childhood visiting the wet market with my late grandmother selecting pieces ofyong tau foo and getting packets offishballs. I also remember engaging in awkward conversations with the cheeky vegetable seller, who enjoyed teasing me when I was a kid.
