I have been paying rent to live in my parents house since I was 19.

At first I was totally fine with it since I wanted to drop school because I was doing very poorly in school, so I decided to work my dad told me if I wasn’t going to school I have to pay both the water bill and the electric bill which I agreed.

After I quit I decided to work at another place once a week this job only pays $100 a day for about 10 hours of work but it’s a lot more enjoyable, and since now I spent time at home I help out around the house I take my sister to and from work and school, I help take care of my mom’s baby will she does whatever else and I go and run whatever kind of errands they need me too as well.

Now normally I would pay $50 for electric monthly and $10 for water bi-monthly, but recently the electric bill increased to about $350, now both times my mom agreed to help out because she has also been using the air con more than normal and said this will be the last time but will use the air con less, (to which I agreed) but on the other hand the first time I had to practically beg him to help out even though I proved to him that he is the reason we are using so much electricity in the first place.

This time he said he would help out again even though it’s his fault that the bill is so high and said he would give me the money after a job he has but because I said I didn’t want to go work for him for 5 hours to get paid $20 and now he says he isn’t going to help me anymore because “I won’t support him”, we had also discussed a fixed rent instead that would be $300 monthly and I told him that I would pay him $500 because there was a payment I missed and then later pay $300 but now he says he may have to make it higher because the bill is more expensive.

All I have I the one small bedroom that I barely fit in and I have to ask permission to move anything out or if I need more space.

What should I do?
