2 cyclists taken to hospital, taxi driver assisting with investigations after Serangoon accident

A taxi and two bicycles were involved in an accident along Serangoon Garden Way towards Serangoon Garden Circus on Dec 22.

The police told Stomp that they were alerted to the accident at 12.40pm.

Two cyclists, aged 19 and 49 were conscious when taken to hospital.

A 32-year-old male taxi driver is assisting with investigations.

Stomper Joon Yong shared a photo of an overturned taxi at the scene and said: "There were many Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) officers and vehicles. I almost fainted when I saw this."

Police investigations are ongoing.

Separately, Stomper Lilian spotted an accident involving two cars along Bedok Reservoir Road later on the same day, at around 5.20pm.

A video that she took shows several people standing on the road divider at the accident scene, where a blue car can be seen tilted at an odd angle.

Stomp understands no injuries were reported in this case.
