These have ridges, not points. My foot feels cradled and does not pronate as badly. As other people suggested, I went a half size larger. Right choice. These are not really a 'rugged' outdoor type sandal. They come in a bag, not a box, so I was a little suspect. But I also like that the adjustable Velcro closure on the top is not a wide one, that I know gets caught as it tends to curl up and ends up opening while you're wearing them.
