The Prime Minister's Department has confirmed that the Yang di-Pertuan Agong's birthday will remain a public holiday on 3 June this year

In a statement on 16 May, the Prime Minister's Department announced that the coronation of the 17th King of Malaysia, His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, will be held on 20 July at the Istana Negara.
