One/Size is a queer- and Filipino-owned business founded by makeup expert Patrick Starr to ensure that makeup is really one size fits all, as it should be.
Y'alllllllll — wheeeewwww, all I can say is it's sorcery. Patrick Starr is a witch, there's no convincing me otherwise. Nothing is topping this setting spray, honestly. I have other expensive setting sprays I love, but by the end of the night, I usually have a bit of shine on my face, which seems like no big deal, but as an oily girly, I hate that, I look greasy 🤮. But this stuff is a magical holy grail; no shine formed against me shall prosper. I see why Beyoncé uses this. I kept hearing the hype around this, but it is a bit pricey, so I kept putting off buying it. This is worth every bit of hype and every single penny. And I'm frugal! I will find a nice, affordable alternative and run with it forever because eggs are $10, baby, these are hard times. But if I'm gonna splurge on a makeup product, you better believe it's gonna be this one every time. This is one makeup product I refuse to give up, even if it saves me money. I love this stuff, and I will forever eat that price and buy it. If I recommend any name-brand product, it'd be this. Big fan.

Promising review: "I have some difficult lips. When I get sick, they peel. When I’m anxious or stressed, I pick them. And I'm a nurse, so the hospital dries them out. I have tried EVERYTHING, no exaggeration. I saw a coworker putting the Summer Fridays lip butter balm on and immediately started asking questions. 'Does it work?' 'Do you love it?' 'Have you noticed an improvement in your overall hydration?' Yes to all my questions, so I immediately added it to my cart and purchased it for in-store pickup so I could go straight from work to pick it up! This lip butter is magic! IT WORKS! I’m blown away and so happy I finally found something that does exactly what it’s meant to and feels, smells, and looks so luxurious!!!" —Victoria1317

Promising review: "I rarely bronze my body, and when I do, I love to use Danessa Myricks Illuminating Veil. However, I tried Sol de Janeiro for the first time, and I immediately fell in love! It gives a nice bronze with a healthy glow. It dries quickly and it doesn't transfer, which is a major plus!" —makeupisbeauty

Purple setting powder?! I know, sounds bizarre, *but* check it out on TikTok cuz it's flawlessly gorgeous!
I have this and it's so, so cute. I kept hearing rave reviews about how amazing Huda Beauty's setting powder was, and the lilac tint of the Ube Birthday Cake shade really intrigued me, so I snagged it. No regrets. I've been loyal to the One/Size powder for years (and still won't be giving it up), but this one definitely will be bought again. I also wanna try more shades. As a Black woman, I was a tad bit nervous about this, but the blurring, the brightening, and the coverage are top tier, truly. And it magically still looks flawless at the end of the day.
Promising review: "Huda Beauty powders never miss, and the new Ube Easy Bake Loose Powder is no exception! The formula is already one of the best — finely milled, lightweight, and gives the most flawless, airbrushed finish. If you love a bright, smooth under-eye or a perfected complexion, this is a must-have. The soft lavender tone is perfect for brightening without looking ashy, and it blends like a dream. If you’re a fan of the original Easy Bake powders, you need to add this one to your collection ASAP! —skylerpiercee

The magic that is this product, omg. This brow pencil is my guilty pleasure. It's just reliable, and we love a reliable product. 👏🏽👏🏽 I've been using this for probably close to 10 years. It is a splurge product for me; I do fall for cheaper alternatives and such, but whenever I return, it reminds me that this brow pencil is truly unbeatable. It's really in its own lane. The pencil is sooo thin, so it helps create the most natural, realistic brow-like strokes, which is the look I LOVE. The colors are also so natural, I personally love the soft brown, even though my hair is naturally a very dark brown — it just looks the most realistic for me. Anastasia, girl, you did your big one with this... oh, and are you a witch? You can tell me, I won't tell anyone.
Promising review: "This eyebrow pencil? A total game changer. I've bought it at least 10 times, and I'm not stopping any time soon. I swear, there's no other pencil like it. I picked up Medium Brown, and let me tell you, it's like it was made for my brows. The color match is spot on – no other pencil comes close. It effortlessly blends in, giving me that perfect, natural look I love." —mariem2000

Promising reviews: "Now I know what the hype was all about! This stuff is amazing! Wash and dry your face, and put it on before bed. The next morning, you can literally see all the nastiness from the pimple or bump through the patch. When you pull it off, so comes the grossness with it. I wasn’t sure why all the kids were walking around with stars on their heads, lol, even my mechanic had one on one day, but this is a major key alert! So glad I found these. It even works with hormonal acne." —Cinsobomb
"This is a must-have item in your makeup bag. I was skeptical at first, and now I make sure to always have these in my bag. Works best when you let it work its magic overnight (or if you have a lazy day and can keep it on your face for a few hours). Pure magic, must have!!" —CCG619

Promising reviews: "Normally I never leave reviews, but this item deserves the credit. I finally found a foundation that is a game-changer. It’s silky smooth and sits perfectly on my skin. Most foundations I use end up looking 'caked on' and make my pores look big, but this one doesn’t do that at all. I don’t know what magic they put into this bottle, but it has worked wonders for me, and I will definitely be using this one from now on. —BFlippen
"This foundation is amazing. Lightweight enough to feel like I am not wearing products on my skin, and yet enough coverage to even things out. It sits beautifully, doesn’t cake, and lasts all day. As someone who typically looks for alternatives or swaps to more expensive products, this is absolutely worth the investment." —randichev

Promising review: "Not sure what it is about the original Beauty Blender, but it is the OG of makeup sponges. I’ve tried off-brand ones, and they tend to soak up product and leave streaks, which this one doesn’t do at all. Leaves an air-brush finish and 10/10 worth the hype!" —ssunshine1212

Promising reviews: "Quite literally obsessed!!! Most natural bronzer I’ve ever used, and gives dimension to my skin quickly and effortlessly. I don’t even use my contour stick anymore." —AmyMaty

Promising review: "I cannot believe it almost took me until the age of 44 to 'discover' cleansing oil. This is a game changer. I massage it onto dry skin before I shower, and my makeup literally melts off in the shower. I used to use a Foreo and gel cleanser in the shower to remove my makeup, and there would almost always be some makeup left that would transfer to my towel when I dried my face." —chevyo

Sephora
Promising review: "Love this product so much! Use it every day! I used to be someone who hated wearing lipstick because my lips would get so dry and flaky, and other glosses just looked or felt slimy. This is the perfect formula — idk what she did here, but the color is long-lasting and it has a cute shine. Obsessed!" —Meags37

Promising review: "I absolutely love the feel of this primer! It is cooling and just the right amount of sticky to help makeup stick on well. You also have time to apply it to the face without drying too fast. I found that previous primers dry quickly, leaving my makeup patchy, but because of this applicator and formula, I have time to apply it equally. The niacinamide is a plus for oily skin as well! Big fan!" —Alokster

Promising review: "This lip pencil is a game-changer! The deep cocoa brown shade is rich... perfect for creating defined lips or a bold ombré effect. The matte formula is creamy and comfortable, infused with emollients to prevent dryness. It glides on smoothly and stays put, thanks to its lip-lock technology. The dual-ended design includes a built-in brush for seamless blending, making it ideal for on-the-go touch-ups. Promising review: "I am obsessed with blush and this is certainly one of my faves! The blue color is stunning, and it transforms into the most beautiful pink on my light skin. Looks very natural. I love the jelly texture as it glides on with no effort and is easy to blend with my fingers. I only use this on my cheeks, even though it says you can use it on your lips as well. The twisting mechanism is great. It gives a satisfying click as you twist it. And it’s so affordable! —Vallerud

Promising reviews: "This oil, this oil, this oil!!! It doesn’t matter what I eat or drink, I can lick my lips, and even after the shine is gone, my lips are still hydrated and don’t feel dried out. That’s most important to me. I use this when I go to bed, and my lips are still hydrated in the morning. Hesitate no longer on purchasing this lip oil. And for even more supple and hydrated lips, exfoliate first, then apply this oil. You won’t be disappointed!" —Terri21

Promising review: "I've tried many foundations, and this is my new go-to (#1 on my list). Coverage is medium/buildable but to be honest, one layer is all you need for that flawless, second-skin finish. Also, the shade range is pretty comprehensive — it's one of the few brands/ranges for which I was able to get a perfect shade match." —CharmedOne82

Topicals is a Black woman-owned small biz!
Promising review: "I am always skeptical of the 'I noticed a difference within 24 hours' reviews, but in this case, it's true! I have deep acne scars near my mouth and sun damage near my eyes, and after one day of use, the scars looked noticeably lighter. No progress yet on the sun damage, but with how quickly it worked on the scars, I'm absolutely going to keep trying! It's a thick consistency like Neosporin, which I'm a little nervous may clog my pores, but so far, so good! Really impressed." —arand28

HuffPost Shopping writer Haley Zovickian is a fan of this concealer and says: "I have used this concealer for YEARS and truly do not have enough good things to say about it. I have dark under-eye circles and hormonal, often cystic acne that I like to conceal with makeup, but at the same time, I don't like the feeling of heavy products on my face, which is often what's recommended for skin like mine. This concealer covers up my blemishes no matter how angry they may be and brightens my skin while still feeling lightweight and like my skin can breathe. Plus, it lasts all day! I can't recommend this product enough, and I'll be using it for as many years as Nars makes it!"
Promising review: "This is my holy grail. This is the only concealer I have ever used for two years! It blends seamlessly into the skin and works if you have no blemishes or if you do have acne. I can’t recommend it enough." —sesh2death

I love love love this stufffff, omg. My skin is oily, oily (gotta say it twice for emphasis), and I have spent my entire teen/adult life looking for products that'll make me matte and KEEP me matte. This powder is a serious bad B. I mean, pores? Nonexistent. Oily, shiny face? Not up in here. I'm gagged every time. Just call me a walking IG filter, 'kay, it's that good. Patrick, I could kiss you for this freakin' powder. *OH!* and BTW I am a brown-skinned woman and the translucent, ultra peach, and pink shades work perfectly for me. No cakey, weird, suuuper light powder, no flashback, nothing. Looks just like my skin but better! I plan to try every single shade.
Promising review: "Literally, what's in this powder? Beauty spells? I have normal to dry skin, but tend to grease up pretty easily when I use dewy foundations. I used this for the first time today and fell absolutely in love! I usually don’t care too much for high-end powders or powders at all, but this one, for me, is top tier. It didn’t necessarily dry out my skin, but it stopped it from becoming greasy, and it kept my makeup looking the same as when I applied it for hours. I definitely will be repurchasing, I’ve never been more in love with a setting powder!" —Kamoni

I have this, and I gotta say, top-freaking-tier. Elite. Exquisite. This cleanser did its big oneeeee. I love a multitasker, so this bb is right up my alley. I mean, a cleanser and makeup remover?! Genius. I have, like, a 13-step skincare routine, so anything that removes a step is an absolute blessssing. Plus, it removes makeup like a *dream*. It feels good on the skin, my oily skin is enjoying it, and it hasn't caused me to break out or have any other annoying skin problems. My face feels fresh, clean, and hydrated. And hydration + oily skin can sometimes = a scary situation, but this doesn't turn me into, how should I put this, the bottom of a bag of Five Guys fries. If this cleanser has a million fans, I'm one of 'em. If this cleanser has one fan, it's me. I'm just saying.

Promising reviews: "This is what I have been looking for all along. I was always insecure about my dark circles, and for some reason, it never looked quite right with just concealer. Then I learned I was missing a color corrector, but all the other brands I tried made my under eyes look super strange. This was PERFECT and my makeup looks sooo smooth. Finally found the right product for me!!!" —greenlemons
"Where has this been all my life? It's not cakey or too thin or shiny. This shade does the impossible task of hiding my purple/green/yellow under-eye bags without creasing or looking like I smeared lipstick under my eyes. This will become a staple in my makeup bag." —shweeber

Promising review: "At first I wasn't too impressed... after a couple of weeks of everyday use, my brows have never looked better. I don't even need to fill them in. Follow the instructions to a T (brush against the brow growth, use the plastic comb to brush up through the arch and then down at the tail, use the black brush to press down and set the brow hairs) for the best application and all-day hold. I have bushy brows, and the hair grows downwards, but this makes them look like fluffy masterpieces. Amazing!!! —Mellalina

Promising review: "This product is sooo pretty. It blends into the skin more naturally than a powder highlight and doesn't look glittery, just a beautiful, ethereal finish. I have worn it with cream blushes and foundation, and it layers nicely. —kendra1991

Promising review: "10/10. 5 stars. ROUND OF APPLAUSE. This stuff is the BOMB. Firstly, if I could eat this product, I would. I'm not exaggerating when I say this is the BEST smelling hair product I have EVER used (and I've tried quite a few, folks). I am so, so happy to have finally found a product that suits my thick 2c/3a hair. I have a mix of curls and waves and often struggle to find something that 1) makes my entire head look good, and 2) lasts for more than a day. Whether I braid or blow dry/diffuse my hair, it always looks fantastic when I use The Homecurl. Up until this point, I'd been using a mix of curl cream and gel, but often found it was too heavy for my hair and weighed it down after a day. This product feels so light in my hair, but has an amazing hold and does exactly what it claims to do." —TaliaSapphire

It seems overwhelming and like a lot of pigment, but it blends so well. TikTok made me buy it, and I definitely don’t regret it and will probably end up buying other colors." —AlexaX

I've been wearing this for a year now, and it definitely looks like skin. I have always worn foundation through the summer, and idk why. The combo of sweat, oily skin, and just being miserably hot is not fun. I wanted a lighter, more natural coverage and went on the hunt for a BB cream. TikTok is my source for finding basically everything, and this is what kept coming up on my feed when I searched for a skin tint. I normally love ABH products, so I wasn't worried about whether I was gonna like it or not. But y'all, I love ittt. It feels and looks like I have nothing on my skin. I was taking pictures of myself the other day and realized that, especially in the summer, I don't *love* the way that foundation sits on my skin. It looked like I was wearing pounds of cake-y makeup and I do not like that. But my pics wearing this?! It just looks like I just have the world's best skin. This is *chef's kiss.* I kinda think I'm a skin tint girly now, to heck with foundation.
