IPOH: A total of 56 security personnel have successfully com­pleted the Counter Terrorist Team (CTT) Course and Sniper 69 ­Com­mando Course Series 1/2025.

The course, which began on June 15, involved six officers and 50 personnel of other ranks from the police and the Armed Forces, covering marksmanship, tactical raids, close-quarter combat ope­rations and extreme security crisis simulations.

Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Khalid Ismail said the two courses not only tested phy­sical endurance but also patience, discipline, mental acuity and emo­tional resilience, Bernama rep­or­ted.

“Successfully completing this course is not only a personal achievement but also a great responsibility to uphold excellen­ce in safeguarding national security,” he said at the closing ceremony of the courses at the Sultan Nazrin Shah Camp (SNS Camp) here yesterday.

Also present were 69 Comman­do commander Senior Asst Comm Hamzah Hashim and Perak deputy police chief Deputy Comm Mohammad Azlin Sadari.

Khalid said the participation of friendly forces, including the Armed Forces through the Special Operations Group, Naval Special Forces and the Air Special Forces, demonstrated strong integration and solidarity among the country’s key security agencies.

Meanwhile, SAC Hamzah said participants will move on to the next phase, Sea Combat, which emphasises mastery of combat and underwater operations, follo­wed by the Tactical Parachute Course.

“Throughout this process, they are exposed to various con­tem­porary threats and trained in ­dep­loy­ment skills across land, sea and air, to produce versa­tile ­Com­mando Infantry and ­even­tually transform this unit into a multi-­spectrum force,” he said.

SAC Hamzah added that 69 Commando is in the process of submitting a proposal under the 13th Malaysia Plan for the cons­truction of new quarters at SNS Camp.

“The Sultan Nazrin Shah Camp not only serves as a centre for producing special infantry forces for the Royal Malaysian Police but also as a platform for strategic cooperation with domestic and international security agencies.

“It is also a symbol of our con­tinued readiness and commitment to safeguarding the country’s sove­reignty,” he said.
