Six highways and 25 major roads across the Klang Valley will be closed or rerouted in stages this week for the 2025 ASEAN Summit

According to the New Straits Times, Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department director Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri said the closures will depend on official convoy movements and necessary security arrangements.

From 23 to 28 May, foreign delegations will be escorted from their accommodations to event venues and official functions, prompting temporary road closures throughout the city.

"Closures and diversions will begin as early as 7.30am and continue in stages until 8pm throughout the summit.

"Each road will be closed 30 minutes before a scheduled convoy movement and reopened once all official vehicles have arrived at their destinations," he said at a press conference today, 19 May.
