For years, fans have wondered what life looks like for former screen goddess Joey Wong after she left showbiz and settled in Vancouver.

Now, the 59-year-old, best known for her iconic role as Nie Xiaoqian in 1987 classic A Chinese Ghost Story, has offered a rare glimpse into her private sanctuary.

In a Xiaohongshu video documenting her preparations for a month-long trip to Silicon Valley, Joey inadvertently took followers on a tour of her apartment.

The video begins with Joey sorting through outfits in her walk-in closet, which is lined with racks of clothing.

She then moves to her bedroom to pack her suitcases. The minimalist space is bright and airy, featuring light wood floors, a large bed and plenty of natural light.

In contrast, the marble-clad bathroom has the feel of a luxury hotel suite. It comes complete with a large bathtub, while the vanity is lined with an array of skincare and beauty products.

The highlight of the house is undoubtedly Joey's living room.

Besides an open-concept kitchen and floor-to-ceiling windows, the living room also features an altar housed within a glass-enclosed corner of the space.

Our favourite part, though, has to be the balcony, which boasts unobstructed views of Vancouver's skyline and harbour.

Needless to say, fans were instantly impressed by the postcard-worthy scenery.

“The view is absolutely gorgeous," commented one fan, while another said: "Imagine waking up to that view every day."
