4 Jul – Amid the issue surrounding the copyrights of 4U2C music, AC Mizal recently announced that their upcoming concert will be held as promised.

In a recent press conference held to address the recent controversies, the former rapper turned TV personality said that they have already received the permission of the Music Copyright Protection Berhad (MACP) to continue with the plan.

"According to the Malaysian Copyright Act 1987 through MACP, every live performance using 'live' music does not require any consent from the songwriter. This is because the songwriter has handed over the ownership rights to MACP for commercialisation," he said.

AC said that they are not denying ownership rights, but that they have referred to MACP even before the concert was announced.

The issue surrounding the 4U2C concert arose when composer Man Senoi, real name Othman Masri and his wife, Ramziah Mohamed Noor, also known as Mama Rap, challenged 4U2C's action of staging the "WE 4U2C Live in Concert", claiming they hold ownership rights to 25 of the group's songs.

AC said that to clear their tarnished name and reputation, the organisers are demanding that certain individuals who allegedly made false and misleading statements regarding the 4U2C concert issue a public apology within 24 hours.

"We will not tolerate any false statements and demand an apology within 24 hours," he said.

The group's concert will be held on 15 September
