5 Jun - AGA has recently dismissed the notion that she is leaving Universal Music so not to compete with Joyce Cheng, whom reportedly will be signing to the record label.

The singer, who spoke to the media after winning Outstanding Pop Singer Award at the 46th Top Ten Chinese Golden Songs Awards recently, said that she will not renew her contract with the label after it expires this month, ending their 12-year partnership.

"I am grateful to the company and this has nothing to do with Joyce. Like many people, I miss Joyce Cheng's music very much. I believe everyone wants to see her make more music," she said.

AGA also added that Universal did not contact her about the renewal of the contract, and she has no plans to switch to other companies. However, she will continue to work hard to make many good songs and hope to perform for fans.

Asked if she has plans to marry fiance Cheng Tsz Bong this year, AGA said, "It depends on fate. I will go to Australia to accompany my parents first, because they are old and both of them need surgery. I want to spend more time with my parents. My fiance will stay in Hong Kong for work and will not come with me."
