ASE to continue expanding in Malaysia

GEORGE TOWN: Taiwan-based Advanced Semiconductor Engineering Inc (ASE) will spend RM3bil to RM4bil to expand its operations in Penang until 2030.
ASE South-East Asia president Lee Kwai Mun said the group would increase its headcount from 3,000 to 6,000 by 2028 or 2029, adding that ASE spent RM4.7bil to build its fourth and fifth plants in Penang.
