PUTRAJAYA: ASEAN adopts an approach that elevates the regional economy to ensure inclusive growth for the sake of peace and prosperity in the region, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Anwar, who is also Finance Minister, said this was because if any ASEAN member state were to become isolated, left behind or marginalised, it would burden neighbouring countries.
