Abu Samah fights back to clear first hurdle

PETALING JAYA: Abu Samah Borhan did not allow a lengthy delay to affect his rhythm as he cleared the first round in the wheelchair tennis competition.

The 36-year-old fought back from one set down to beat Costa Rica’s Jose Pablo Gil 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 in a marathon 139-minute match at Ariake Tennis Park yesterday.
