19 Jun - Afifah Nasir recently announced that she and husband Syed Hariz are having a baby boy.

Posting on Instagram on 17 July, the actress uploaded a video from their gender reveal party, where she and her husband shared the good news with family and friends by opening a big box and releasing little blue balloons to symbolise a son.

"To think about it, it's amazing how Allah hears your plans. Hariz told me he wanted 2024 to be just about us focusing on each other and, InshaAllah, getting a baby in 2025," Afifah wrote in the caption.

Afifah is also the daughter of former FINAS CEO, Prof. Dr. Md Nasir Ibrahim

She added, "We also talked about gender. Even though we both said we didn't mind either, deep down we knew... we were secretly hoping for a boy. We wanted a Syed and praise be to God, Allah granted it. Subhanallah."

Many took to the comments to congratulate the couple, including sister Anzalna who wrote, "Can't wait to meet my nephew!"

The couple tied the knot back in May 2024, three months after announcing their engagement.
