MUSCAT: AirAsia Bhd has clinched the world’s leading low-cost airline award for the seventh consecutive year by the World Travel Awards (WTA).

The Malaysia-based low-cost carrier emerged as the winner ahead of other global airlines including Air Arabia, Easy Jet, Fast Jet, Fly Dubai, Flynas, Jet Blue, Jetstar Airways, Norwegian, Ryan Air, Southwest Airline as well as West Air.
