Could Hong Kong actor Alex Man’s son Man Tai Chin be the next second-generation breakout star?

Well, he certainly has what it takes.

The 22-year-old is turning heads online — both for his musical talent and his unexpected transformation into a heartthrob.

Tai Chin is Alex’s only child with his second wife, former flight attendant Kwok Ming Lai, who is 17 years younger than the actor. They got married in 2002.

Alex, now 67, was previously married to Taiwanese actress Tien Niu for four years before they divorced in 1996.

According to Hong Kong media reports, Tai Chin, who is studying at Central South University in Hunan, is musically gifted.

Not only can he compose music and write lyrics, he also plays the guitar and sings.

While he stayed largely out of the public eye, Tai Chin captured the internet’s attention in 2021 when his dad celebrated his 18th birthday.

At that time, Tai Chin wore glasses and had a boy-next-door appearance — good looking, but not exactly leading man material.

Fast forward a few years, and the transformation is striking.

Tai Chin recently participated in his university’s singing competition where he performed an original composition ‘Wildflower’.

His performance started off as a mellow tune, but midway through, the song took a dramatic turn into heavy metal rock, before easing back into an emotional ballad, showcasing his range not just as a performer, but also as a composer.

Tai Chin’s demeanor also evolved with the song.

Mid-performance, he threw on a leather jacket over his white tee and jeans combo, transforming into a rocker.

But what really got people talking? His looks.

Without his glasses, Tai Chin looks even more striking. 

Netizens compared him to several Hong Kong stars, calling him a young Ron Ng and also noting resemblances to Carlos Chan and Jeffrey Ngai.
