Alibaba announced the launch of its new AI model, Qwen 3.5, designed for autonomous task execution. The company claims Qwen 3.5 is 60% cheaper to operate and eight times more capable of handling large workloads than its predecessor.

The model features “visual agentic capabilities,” allowing it to perform actions across mobile and desktop apps. Alibaba aims to attract more users to its Qwen chatbot app amid competition from ByteDance’s Doubao and DeepSeek.
