All About Whitney Leavitt’s Husband Conner & Their Marriage Issues on ‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’
Whitney Leavitt’s husband, Conner, bared his soul at The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives reunion, and it’s time fans got to know him a little better.
Fans first met Conner in season one of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, which showed him and Whitney working on their marriage amid Conner’s pornography addiction. Conner was also discovered to have a Tinder profile.
Conner faced hate from fans after the show, including speculation about his sexuality. However, an unaired season one clip that was shown for the first time at season two’s reunion shed more light on Conner’s past.
“I needed to get help, so we started going to therapy and trying to figure out why,” he said. “And I knew something I have only shared with Whitney and my therapist and my family.” He continued, “When I was a little boy, I was raped. And when I was finally honest with that emotion and that memory, everything made sense.”
The brave admission was praised by The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives cast members and will no doubt give fans a better insight into who Conner is.
Conner and Whitney were first linked in 2010 when Whitney was matched with his family in Georgia during her Mormon mission, but the couple didn’t officially meet until 2015. “It’s just coincidence. How cool is that? I remember being in his home,” Leavitt told Vulture in May about their family ties.
The couple married a year into their relationship in a ceremony at a Mormon temple in Provo, Utah, per Vulture. Whitney posted a photo of their wedding day on Instagram in 2016, showing her and Conner in their wedding attire at an In-N-Out. “#notyouraveragebridalshoot,” she captioned the post.
Whitney and Conner are parents to a daughter, Sedona, who was born in 2019, a son named Liam, who was born in 2021, and their youngest son, Billy Gene, who was born in 2024.
Whitney faced backlash after Liam’s birth when she posted a video of her dancing beside her son in the NICU. “The first couple of days were scary, but he was getting better. So I’m thinking let’s do something fun and I made a video,” Whitney explained in season one of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. “People felt like I was using my child’s sickness for clout or attention. Everyone was so quick to forgive Taylor online for swinging and I feel like I still get bashed on every video.”
Whitney and Conner welcomed baby Billy in December and revealed his birth exclusively to People, saying, “We are most excited about having our family complete. We’ve always wanted three kids and we’re so happy everyone’s here now.”
In 2022, fans found a Tinder profile that belonged to Conner and began to accuse him of cheating. In a now-deleted December 2022 YouTube video, Conner admitted to creating the profile, admitting that he wasn’t “looking for anything” physical but was rather “validating [his] feelings and [his] emotions” by talking to women online.
In The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season one, Conner admitted that the Tinder profile was part of a larger battle he went through with porn addiction.
“I had a real problem and it turned into something that really hurt my wife and I’m so sorry,” he said. “I’m working on myself. But yeah I’ve reached a point where I really don’t care what anybody outside my inner circle thinks.”
He elaborated even further in the season two reunion episode, opening up about experiencing childhood sexual abuse and being left with trauma that impacted his relationship with sex. “That was a very difficult part of my past and something I’ve worked hard to heal from,” he said. “And it still hurts. I know so many people carry experiences like that, even though they may not talk about them.”
“For me, those experiences shaped me and developed really destructive habits, but they don’t define who I am today. What matters is how we grow, how we find resilience and how we support each other moving forward.”
Whitney shut down rumors about Conner’s sexuality during an October 2024 appearance on the Off the Vine podcast. “What is the craziest rumor that you’ve heard about you or your relationship online?” host Kaitlyn Bristowe asked, to which Whitney, 31, replied, “Oh my Gosh, that my husband’s gay.”
“Do I need to put out a sex tape or something? Trust me, we’re good. Like, everything is fine,” she joked before explaining that the rumor arose because of them opening up about Conner’s complicated relationship with sexuality due to his childhood trauma.
In Whitney’s Vulture profile, it was revealed that Conner works from home for a hedge fund, which is controlled primarily by managers based in Dubai. Per his LinkedIn, he’s a technical analyst.
Conner graduated from Brigham Young University in 2018 with a degree in Economics.
