PETALING JAYA: Datuk Amarjit Singh Gill’s new role as the International Cycling Union (UCI) vice-president will be a stepping stone for the advancement of Asian cycling on the global stage.

Amarjit became the first Malaysian to hold the position in the world governing body, and the Malaysian National Cycling Federation (MNCF) president said it was a profound honour to hold that title.
