Lauren Alaina is sittin’ pretty on top of the world with her newborn.

Nearly five months after the American Idol alum announced her pregnancy, she welcomed her first baby—a daughter named Beni Doll Arnold—with her husband Cam Arnold on June 11.

“The right words are hard to find to describe how parts of my heart that I didn’t even knew existed were unlocked at 8:44 am when they laid you on my belly for the first time,” Lauren wrote in her June 13 Instagram post, which features a sweet photo of the couple bonding with their daughter. “You, to your dad and me, are absolute perfection. We are honored God chose us to be your parents.”

And while the 30-year-old is grateful to embrace her “precious angel on Earth,” her daughter’s birth wasn’t the only surprise. In fact, the country star also released her new single “Heaven Sent,” a ballad dedicated to Beni and her late dad J.J. Suddeth, who died last June. 

“We learned she was coming in a time of deep sadness after the loss of my daddy,” she explained. “I wasn’t sure when I would share “Heaven Sent,” but watching my own husband become a father the last couple of days has made me want to share it with you now. She came just before Father’s Day. My first without my own father.”

Though the holiday will “forever be hard” for her, the Unlocked singer noted that she’ll now celebrate her husband’s unconditional love for Beni moving forward.  

This sweet announcement comes over a year after the duo tied the knot in Nashville. Last February, Laura and Cam—who started dating in 2020, but didn’t go public with their romance until 2022—hosted a “big loud” wedding filled with their loved ones and other country stars like Jason Aldean and HARDY.

“I think it’s just a reflection of how fortunate we are,” she told People of their rustic ceremony at the time, “we have a lot of people who love us. Our siblings all stood up there with us as we got married. Cameron’s dad was his best man, which was super sweet. It was a very emotional, very heartfelt ceremony.”
