Ang moh chiobu blames Singapore for making her ugly! Ridiculous or true?

A 28-year-old French expat, Audrey Thiloy, has gone viral online after claiming that Singapore has ruined her once-flawless skin. Just weeks after moving here, the mobile app developer says her face is now covered in pimples and clogged pores — something she had never experienced back in France.
In a TikTok video posted on 17 March, Audrey dramatically exclaimed: “I swear Singapore is ruining my skin!” She blamed the city’s hot and humid climate, saying it made her usual French skincare products useless.
“Living in Singapore is bringing me a lot of joy but also a lot of pimples and clogged pores I never had before,” she complained. She explained that her skin was used to the cooler, drier climate in France, where richer creams worked well, but here, the same products clog her pores almost immediately.
Audrey’s frustration has sparked a flood of comments online, with some netizens offering skincare tips, while others wondered: is it really Singapore’s fault, or is she just looking for excuses?
Her viral post has now turned into a cautionary tale for other expats — a dramatic reminder that moving to a tropical city may come with unexpected beauty challenges.
