On the heels of the news that Angelina Jolie‘s seven-year divorce battle against Brad Pitt is almost over, the 48-year-old actress has turned up with a dramatic hair transformation. We love a woman who changes up her look to signal a new chapter in her life — and the fresh color of her hair is absolute perfection.

Jolie was spotted in New York City on Wednesday heading into her Atelier Jolie store with much lighter locks — she is officially a warm blonde. (You can see the photo HERE.) She looked chic wearing her black-tinted sunglasses with a black jacket and a classic white T-shirt. Her hair looked freshly blown out as the soft waves gently framed her face. This isn’t the first time she’s been seen with lighter hues. In June 2023,she tested the blonde waters with some highlights, but now, she’s just going for it with her new color — and we love it!

The styling refresh comes just as a source revealed to Us Weekly that Jolie and Pitt are “navigating the last of the red tape, which is a huge relief and morale boost.” The Eternals star has talked openly about the toll of the split from her ex-husband because it appears their six children, Maddox, 22, Pax, 19, Zahara, 18, Shiloh, 17, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 15, have sided with their mom. But she’s been showing signs that she’s ready to prioritize herself first now that her kids are getting older. 

“I don’t really have … a social life. I realized my closest friends are refugees. Maybe four out of six of the women that I am close to are from war and conflict,” she told WSJ Magazine late last year about her future plans to live at her Cambodian home. “It’s part of what happened after my divorce. I lost the ability to live and travel as freely. I will move when I can.”

Part of her fresh start involves a fashion venture with upcycled clothing and an art gallery for local artists. She isn’t looking to become the next haute couture designer, but she wants to build and support a community. “I don’t want to be a big fashion designer,” she told Vogue in September 2023. “I want to build a house for other people to become that. I’ve met a lot of artisans over the years — very capable, talented people — and I’d like to see them grow.” By putting the tumultuous past behind her, Jolie is looking ahead to a very bright future.
