PETALING JAYA: National weightlifter Aniq Kasdan missed out on the podium for the IWF World Cup in Phuket, Thailand but it’s still mission accomplished for the reigning Commonwealth Games champion.

The 21-year-old had to settle for eighth spot after lifting a total weight of 290kg in the men’s 61kg but despite this, has virtually sealed his Olympic ticket to Paris.
