KUALA LUMPUR– An anti-graft rally in Malaysia on Jan 25 looked to put pressure on Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to speed up the pace of reforms and crack down on corruption, with dozens of mostly youth protesters marched peacefully in downtown Kuala Lumpur.
The protesters marched from outside the Sogo shopping centre at 3pm, a popular gathering place near an LRT station, to historic Merdeka Square (Independence Square), about 1km away. The crowd swelled to around 200 by the end of the march.

Yes, people should know. Najib jail term was reduced by 50% and his fine was reduced by more than 75% from 210m to 50m. Just wondering if others had such huge leniency before. And for your info, the Pardons Board who made the reduction was chaired by Pahang Sultan. FYI, Najib's father was an aristocratic descendant of Orang Kaya Indera Shahbandar which is a nobility title in Pahang and 1 of the highest-ranking nobles just below the Sultan. Wah, so good to have connections. [TIRED][COOL]
