Apple, Intel reach preliminary chipmaking deal
Apple and Intel have reached a preliminary deal for Intel to manufacture some chips used in Apple devices.
The companies had held talks for more than a year and finalized a formal agreement in recent months, though it remains unclear which Apple products would use Intel-made chips.
