Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow’s daughter, Apple Martin, is making headlines yet again, this time for furthering her fashion and modeling career in a rather bold way. In case you missed it, she’s one of the faces of the beloved fashion brand, Self-Portrait.

The brand shared three announcements on Instagram, reading, “Our new Miss self-portrait 🎥 by @applemartin,” and “Welcome to the family @applemartin 📸 by @applemartin.” See the first one below:

Not only is this a big deal since it’s a major fashion deal for the model, but fans remembered something: While neither of her parents has ever worn the brand, her dad’s ex, Dakota Johnson, has famously rocked the brand.

(Yes, after eight years together, Chris and Johnson ended their engagement. Not only is this a bummer for fans of the relationship, but Appleand Johnson were quite close. Johnson and Apple were seen out together multiple times, whether it be on coffee runs, long errands, or just hanging out, per Standard.)

Now, yes, Johnson has worn this brand before. Most famously, she rocked a white gown from the Self-Portrait RTW Spring 2022 collection at the Deadline’s Contenders Event in 2021.

Per Star Style, she also wore an all-white look from Self-Portrait at The Lost Daughter screening event on December 12, 2021, and again, she wore a black suede skirt from the brand while doing a photoshoot in December 2023 with Women’s Wear Daily Magazine.
