Apple supplier Skyworks forecasts strong Q4 on chip demand
Skyworks Solutions expects higher fourth-quarter revenue and profit due to steady demand for its analog chips in mobile and automotive sectors.
The company designs analog and mixed-signal chips for wireless, automotive, industrial, and consumer electronics.
Skyworks projects fourth-quarter revenue between US$1 billion and US$1.03 billion, above the US$887.4 million average estimate from LSEG.
It also anticipates adjusted earnings per share of US$1.40, exceeding analyst expectations of 97 cents.
For the third quarter ending June 27, 2025, Skyworks reported revenue of US$965 million, topping the US$940.9 million estimate.
Quarterly profit per share was 70 cents, down from 75 cents a year earlier.

Skyworks’ strong forecast aligns with explosive growth across the analog semiconductor market, which is projected to expand from $88.8 billion in 2024 to $147.6 billion by 2032, representing a 6.7% annual growth rate1.
The automotive sector drives much of this expansion, with semiconductor content in electric vehicles expected to nearly double from $650 in 2024 to $1,200 by 20282.
This aligns with CEO Phil Brace’s emphasis on “steady strength” in automotive alongside mobile applications.
The demand fundamentals remain strong despite economic uncertainty, as analog chips play critical roles in power management and signal processing, which are increasingly essential as devices grow more advanced.
Skyworks’ ability to deliver strong results while competitors face disruptions highlights the importance of supply chain positioning in today’s semiconductor landscape.
Geopolitical tensions between the U.S. and China have created “uncertainties and supply chain vulnerabilities” across the industry, with 75% of global manufacturing capacity concentrated in China and East Asia34.
The company’s diversified customer base across automotive, mobile, and industrial sectors provides a hedge against regional disruptions that might impact more concentrated suppliers.
As government incentives encourage supply chain diversification and domestic production capabilities, established players like Skyworks with proven operational stability gain competitive advantages in securing both customers and capacity.
