Jeremy Allen White and Molly Gordon are back to playing love interests in The Bear season 4, but is their offscreen romance still happening?

White, 34, and Gordon, 29, sparked dating rumors in September 2024 when they were photographed kissing in Los Angeles, far away from the show’s Chicago filming location. Photos of the steamy interaction, which were obtained by TMZ, were shared shortly after White’s split from singer Rosalía. The actor is a father to two daughters from his marriage to childhood friend Addison Timlin, which ended in 2023.

White and Gordon’s romance appeared to continue, but the pair, who play on-off couple Carmy and Claire on the show, have done their best to keep their relationship under wraps. So, what’s the deal?

It is unclear if White and Gordon are still in a relationship. They were last seen together in November 2024. In photos obtained by the Daily Mail, the co-stars were seen walking in New York City a month after they were spotted getting dinner with friends in another part of the city.

In June 2025, Gordon avoided talking about White in an interview with Vanity Fair, side-stepping questions about the attention their rumored romance receives. “With the internet, I just think—I even see it in myself as a fan of things—we’re just a more judgmental society,” she said.

White & Gordon Started Dating in September 2024

After the infamous kissing photos emerged on September 25, People reported that White and Gordon started dating “a few weeks ago.”

“There were set rumors early on that they had intense chemistry even when not filming,” the source said. “They didn’t start hanging out romantically until a few weeks ago, though.”

“She spends time at his house. They go on lunch dates and seem to have a great time. They’re affectionate, often in deep conversations and seem curious to get to know each other better,” the source added, noting that White “really seems into Molly.”

They Met in 2023

Gordon met White while shooting their first scene together after joining season 2 of The Bear in early 2023. The longtime friend of White’s co-star Ayo Edebiri reflected on her first time meeting the actor in a July 2023 interview with Glamour, saying, “The first time I met him, I felt that excitement of meeting an actor that you admire, but I also felt like I had known him for so long.”

She added, “He’s such a generous, available person, whereas you have to pull so many other actors out of their shells. He was like, ‘I’m in this with you.’ I immediately felt like there was something really good there, and I felt safe in that dynamic.”

White returned the favor when he praised Gordon in a June 2023 interview with Variety, saying, “I also think Molly does such an amazing job. She’s so disarming and funny and charming. I think it didn’t allow Carmy to build up his regular walls. She knocked them down with ease and allowed Carmy to feel cared for, which must have just been so welcomed because I don’t know the last time Carmy would have allowed himself to be cared for.”

White is notoriously tight-lipped about his personal life, so we aren’t expecting confirmation about his relationship status anytime soon.
