SHAH ALAM: Bersatu's youth wing (Armada) has lodged a police report urging an investigation into those responsible for sparking chaos during the opening of the party's annual general assembly last night.
Armada information chief Harris Idaham Rashid said the report was filed by Armada Bersatu Brigade Commander Afiq Nardin at the Seri Muda police station here around midnight.
He added that a separate complaint was also submitted to the party's disciplinary board, calling for action against delegates and those involved in the incident.
"In the disciplinary report, we listed several grievances because the incident was disgraceful, especially as it happened in public, in front of guests and members of the media who were covering the event.

"The Armada security chief has already lodged a police report at the Seri Muda police station. I was informed that an investigation paper has been opened," he told a press conference here today.
Harris, who is also Balik Pulau Bersatu division chief, said those who sparked the commotion last night have since apologised.
"This morning, the permanent chairman informed us that they were called up last night and had expressed regret, apologised, and admitted the incident should not have happened," he said.
Yesterday, tensions briefly erupted at Bersatu's eighth annual general assembly when a small group of members heckled party president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin near the end of his speech.
The disruption occurred as Muhyiddin revealed that certain members were collecting signatures in an attempt to unseat him, prompting some in the audience to call for his resignation.
