A shopper was left surprised after spotting a strange 'white spot' on a bunch of bananas she bought from the supermarket giant Asda.

After returning home, the unnamed shopper rushed to the Family Lockdown Tips & IdeasFacebook group to see if anyone could explain what it was.

The customer wrote: "Anybody have any idea what this white spot is on my banana? Brought from Asda yesterday."

She shared a picture of the oddly coloured fruit alongside her message, hoping someone will be able to give her some answers.
