Asean Cybercrime Task Force will boost regional efforts in tackling digital threats

KUALA LUMPUR: The government's call for the creation of an Asean Cybercrime Task Force, modelled after the International Criminal Police Organisation (Interpol), will facilitate real-time intelligence exchange and regional cooperation in effectively combating digital threats.
Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Investigation Department director Datuk Seri Ramli Mohamed Yoosuf, welcoming the call, said such a task force would be beneficial to all in the current cybercrime landscape, which also involves cross-border crimes.
