GOING by what has been shared by the Professional Golf of Malaysia (PGM) Tour and the Mines Golf Club, the organisers and sponsors of the Ladies Championship, respectively, the field for the inaugural event is likely to be a non-cut 60-strong tournament, perhaps for Malaysians only.

Following a report in these TeeUp pages a fortnight ago, in which it was suggested that the new PGM tournament, to be staged at the Mines next month, might want to consider a couple of key issues – bring in the country’s United States-based players and extend invitations to some in the Asean region – a communique was received touching on what the field would comprise, without mentioning specific details.
