Ateez's 'Bad’ Chest Pump Move Is Suddenly Everywhere
Move over, old TikTok trends, there's a new dance move dominating everyone's FYP.
K-pop boyband Ateez recently dropped their latest track ‘Bad’, but it's member San's viral chest-pump choreography that's stealing the spotlight.
During a recent performance, San, dressed in a white tank top, executed a series of razor-sharp chest pops that instantly sent fans into a frenzy. The choreography, which San helped create, has even been dubbed the "let's all die" dance by fans overwhelmed by his intense gaze.
Naturally, the internet wasted no time turning the moment into meme material. Here are some of our favourite parodies.
The mini-me who understood the assignment
This kid didn't just learn the choreography, he committed to the entire look. Complete with a white tank top, oversized cargo pants, a red bandana tied on his waist and a chunky yellow chain, he even gives San's signature gaze his best shot. It's more adorable than intimidating, though. The clip even earned a like from San himself.
The budget version (featuring… nipple covers?)
Thai comedy content creators @bang.ra.mat put their own spin on the trend. While one member rocked a flashy gold-sequinned blazer, the real scene-stealer was his “bandmate” who recreated San's iconic chest pops with the help of nipple covers stuck underneath his white tee. Very resourceful.
Colonel San-ders has moves
One of the most unexpected takes comes courtesy of KFC. An AI-animated Colonel Sanders nails the signature chest-pump move before ending with a playful kiss to the camera. Who knew the Colonel had this much swagger?
When San became a height-measuring scale
Korean meme-concept creator @idea82people transformed San's iconic arm pose into the headbar of a clinic height-measuring scale in a brilliantly edited clip. San even gave it a stamp of approval by liking the post. Safe to say, that's the ultimate seal of approval.
