Ayer Itam dam alert prompts cloud-seeding ops
ALTHOUGH it has been raining lately, Ayer Itam dam is in “alert status”, resulting in the need for cloud-seeding operations.
Penang Water Supply Corporation (PBAPP) chief executive officer Datuk Jaseni Maidinsa said this was due to low rainfall since January and high daily water usage in Ayer Itam township.
