Some iPlayer users will finally find they can no longer access their downloads from today, April 8.

The BBC revealed back in February that it was closing down one of its telly-viewing apps with the block now coming into full effect from today, Monday, April 8. The major change means the iPlayer service built for PCs will no longer work and it looks unlikely that it will ever make a return.
