BNM international reserves at US$104.2b as at Jan 31, 2020

KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 7): The international reserves of Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) amounted to US$104.2 billion as at Jan 31, 2020.
In a statement, the central bank said the reserves position was sufficient to finance 7.5 months of retained imports and was 1.1 times the total short-term external debt.
BNM said the main components of the international reserves comprised foreign currency reserves (US$97.7 billion), International Monetary Fund reserves position (US$1.1 billion), special drawing rights (SDRs) (US$1.1 billion), gold (US$1.9 billion) and other reserve assets (US$2.4 billion).
