PETALING JAYA: It’s confirmed - badminton will switch to a new 15x3 scoring format from 2027 onwards.

At the Badminton World Federation (BWF) Annual General Meeting on Saturday (April 25) in Horsens, Denmark, the majority of members voted in favour of the change.

The new proposal was approved with 198 votes for and 43 against.

Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) secretary Datuk Kenny Goh said it was time for the Malaysian players and coaches to make a quick switch to the new system.
