MERBOK: The Malaysian Civil Defence Department (APM) will be giving special focus to the northeast monsoon flood preparations for Kedah's Baling and Kulim districts.

Kedah APM director Lieutenant-Colonel Awang Askandar Ampuan Yaacub said the two districts had been identified as the worst flood-prone areas based on monsoon trends over the past two years.
