BALING: There is no active logging at Compartment 8 of Gunung Inas, leading towards Sungai Kupang that flooded yesterday.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor said records showed that approved logging activities for Block 1, 2 and 3 of the compartment had been completed between 2018 and 2019.

"Public assumption totally inaccurate as there is no active logging at the source of the river (Sungai Kupang) in particular within Compartment 8 of Gunung Inas Forest Reserve.
