ALOR GAJAH: A 23-year-old man was killed after he was thrown from his car when it was rammed by a stage bus, known locally as 'Bas Pink', along the Alor Gajah-Melaka Tengah-Jasin (AMJ) Highway near Taman Awan Biru on Monday.
A video clip of the crash has since gone viral on social media.
Muhammad Aiman Mohd Farid, a Tenaga Nasional Bhd subcontractor, died at the scene from severe injuries after he was flung into a drain by the impact of the crash.
District police chief Superintendent Ashari Abu Samah said the victim's friend, Muhammad Hakimi Hafiz Baharin, 22, sustained bodily injuries in the 4.55pm incident.

Ashari said preliminary investigations revealed that Aiman, who was driving, and his friend, were travelling from Rembia, while the bus was heading towards Jalan AMJ from the Melaka Sentral bus terminal.
He said Aiman had stopped the car by the roadside at the location, but the bus veered off course and rammed into the vehicle.
"The impact flung the victim from the car. He was pronounced dead at the scene, while his friend was rushed to Alor Gajah Hospital," Ashari said in a statement.
The 37-year-old bus driver was unhurt and has been arrested to assist in the investigation.
A urine test came back negative for drugs. The driver has no criminal record or outstanding traffic summonses.
Ashari said the vehicle has been sent to Puspakom for inspection, and a dashboard camera recording from the bus has been obtained.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless or dangerous driving causing death.
