SIBU (March 26): The RM321 million Batang Rajang bridge and its connecting Pasi-Sibu/Tanjung Manis Road will officially open to traffic after a pre-launch event on March 27, just in time for the Hari Raya Aidilfitri holidays.

Sarawak Public Works Department (JKR) director Dr Cassidy Morris said the 1.4km bridge is expected to be pre-launched by Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah, one day ahead of initial planned opening on March 28.
