Ben Affleck has never been an opulent birthday person, often opting for low-key celebrations over lavish parties. In fact, for his 53rd birthday this year, he kept it low-key again, but one detail has Bennifer fans doing a double-take.

In photos and details obtained by Page Six, we can see that Affleck went out to lunch with two of his three kids, 16-year-old Seraphina and 13-year-old Samuel, with whom he shares his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, at Huckleberry Café in Santa Monica.

Now, if you’re like “Wait, that sounds familiar,” we may know why. Per Entertainment Tonight, back in Aug 2022, Lopez and Affleck went there together (multiple times, actually)! “The newlyweds … took their kids to Huckleberry Cafe in Santa Monica” after grabbing some snacks and coffee.

And per Marie Claire, he’s gone with Garner and their kids as well, so it’s clearly a favorite for him and the fam!

For those who don’t know, Lopez and Affleck met on the set of the film Gigli. They started dating soon after and got engaged by the end of 2002. However, they were broken up by 2004 after canceling their wedding days prior to it. Then, in 2021, Lopez and Affleck rekindled their romance.

A year later, they got engaged and married in a lavish ceremony. However, they then filed for divorce in 2024, and got officially divorced the following year.
