The 5,000-square-foot co-op at 115 Central Park West, with four bedrooms and four terraces, was sold by Malkemus’s husband and business partner, Anthony Yurgaitis, for $14.5 million. He originally listed the place for $25 million in 2021, shortly after Malkemus’s death.

The buyers were Shirley Sarna, the former head of New York’s consumer protection bureau, and her husband, Steven Nelson, an arts patron.

Homeward Bound at the Pierre

The singer Art Garfunkel and his wife, Kathryn, paid nearly $1.6 million for the Upper East Side apartment that the fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent and his spouse and business partner, Pierre Bergé, had used as a pied-à-terre.

The apartment, on a high floor of the Pierre Hotel, at 795 Fifth Avenue, has one bedroom, one bathroom and views of Central Park.
