POLITICAL interference must not get in the way of appointment of village chiefs and community leaders, said Dr Johnical Rayong (PSB–Engkilili).

He warned that should this practice be allowed to continue, it would further split the rural community, especially after the Federal Village Community Management Council (MPKKP) was established in conflict with the current Village Security and Development Committee (JKKK) in the villages and longhouses.
